I hope you all have a happy holiday and enjoy the season with your family. But, as an insurance broker, I'd be remis if I did not share an experience we had a year or ywo ago.

It was Christmas Eve, and the family all went out to dinner. We had a great time and all left the restaurant to meet at one of my reletives homes. We all piled in, and everything seemed normal while we settled in. But after a few minutes, kids were coming in asking if anyone had seen their computers. Then it was noticed that jewlery was missing, them money. Yep, the house had been burglarized while we we all out to dinner. We were not gone more than two hours.

So, the moral of the story is, if you have an alarm system make sure you activate it while your our and the gifts are at home. If you don't have an alarm system, take other precautionary measures. Always lock door and windows. Leave a light or two on, etc.
